Official hosting
Free for a normal household
Each household gets 1 GB for photos, receipts, and other attachments. Lists, chores, recipes, money, and the rest of the product are not feature-gated.
- 10 MB maximum per uploaded file
- No ads and no sale of household data
- On-device grocery OCR, so scans do not spend a hosted AI allowance
- Limits may be adjusted if real usage makes the free service unsustainable; changes will be explained on the transparency page first
Your own server
The complete product, not a community edition
Run mitlist with PostgreSQL, Redis, and any S3-compatible object store. Storage quotas are configurable and can be disabled entirely.
